Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced M365 Systems Administrator to join their IT team in Alexandria, VA. This role is pivotal in managing and integrating their Microsoft 365 (M365) hybrid environment to ensure optimal performance, security, and user support. The successful candidate will work closely with IT teams, end-users, and stakeholders to maintain a seamless operation across both on-premises and cloud-based M365 services. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to enhance organizational productivity and efficiency through expert administration and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage M365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Monitor health, performance, and logs of M365 services to ensure optimal operation and compliance with IT standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to M365 services and integration with on-premises environments.
• Configure and maintain email systems, ensuring secure and efficient mail flow and directory synchronization in a hybrid Exchange environment.
• Implement and maintain security policies and practices, conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Provide Tier 3 support for M365-related issues and assist in training end-users and IT staff on M365 functionalities. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in M365 administration or a similar role.
  • Proven experience managing hybrid IT environments, including proficiency with Azure AD Connect and Exchange Hybrid Configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or similar for automation and configuration.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or similar credentials.
  • ITILv4 Foundations certification is preferred.
  • Secret Clearance or ability to obtain such clearance.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, capable of effectively collaborating with various stakeholders.
